God's Favor Brings a Flow of Victory
Sometimes our victories
flow like a stream
unhindered by any obstacle.
Other times
we find that they are
slowed a bit
because of each step.

+ There is a holiday named "The Feast of The Holy Name of Jesus." It is celebrated most often on either August 7th or January 1. The dates have moved over the centuries like most holidays, but it's supposed to follow the birth of Jesus into the 8th day to commemorate the naming and circumcision day. As most know, in Jewish tradition, male infants are circumcised and given their legal name on the 8th day from birth. Thus, January 1 is the 8th day following Christmas, which is December 25th - the day we celebrate Jesus' birth in modern times. Some celebrate Christmas on January 7th, but it is commonly believed that Jesus' actual birth was approximately May 14, 6 BC. This holiday, like Lent (40 days of denying oneself of something before Easter), was designated by the early Catholic followers but is not practiced in most Christian churches today. I sincerely believe that we can and should celebrate the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth everyday.
+ During the years of 200-250 AD, the New Testament was assembled and canonized. There was a 50 year time period of peace from persecution when Christian leaders in that day gathered the writings of the early apostles. This was necessary to publish for the purpose of answering accusations made by leaders of other sects and also to provide the followers a guide to the Christian belief. (More Trivia)
